I've Become A Machine

from Under The Marble Arches EP by The Marble Arches

lyrics

I've hugged an urchin,
chauffeured like ten given three
of a child's stimulant,
perchance to dream rabbit face?
Encased in a glass light,
take anything you like,
just check the seat behind we're on a plane to Cyprus.

I've Become A Machine,
let down by functionality,
second crown to increased salary,
leather bound behind a plastic wreath,
let down by, all, the....

Self righteous,
comprehensives,
I wish you were like that now
with intention to distort the emplaced,
humour of a culture clash,
the laurel of my lap,
all you to do was ask
the emacia? the light switch?

Social outlook,
anthropomorphic eyes
and with caricatures we'll build toy towns at half the price,
a hectare of a graph,
it's how you take the path,
past tense and reading fast
but heavy on the mileage.

I've Become A Machine,
let down by functionality,
second crown to increased salary,
leather bound behind a plastic wreath,
let down, for being confound, in a children's hymn sheet,
arthouse, of, what, is
respected now, by, all, the,
self righteous.
